Don't Become a Victim of THEFT!

The best advice to avoid becoming the victim of theft in any building is not to take valuables with you in the 1st place, but if you must bring cash and other valuables such as mobile phones with you to school the following tips should help you protect yourself.

Use lockers provided and ensure they are locked. Most pupils have a personal locker in school and the changing rooms within the PE department have ample locker facilities.

  • Don't leave your belongings and valuables lying around - even if they are hidden from sight in your bag it only takes a few seconds for them to be stolen.
  • If you choose not to use a locker whilst in PE then you can take your valuables with you to your class teacher who will keep them safe for you.
  • If you must take a large sum of money with you, for example when paying for a school trip, then make sure to go straight to the person who is collecting it either before or during morning registration. Do not carry it with you for any length of time during the day.
  • If you see someone acting suspiciously tell a teacher or PC MacDonald either in person or by using the email link below.
