National 3 Music has three main sections:

• Performing: Perform sections of 2 contrasting pieces on 2 instruments.
• Composing: Provide evidence of a basic understanding of the compositional methods used by others. Use level specific compositional methods and music concepts to create your own music and reflect, with some support, on your creative decisions.
• Understanding Music: Provide evidence of your ability to listen to and indentify simple, level-specific, music concepts in music excerpts.

National 3 is assessed internally.
